The 2018 Lexus GS sedan was still a kind of strange duck in the range. It was never as popular as Camry’s ES based on the wheel and was not as luxurious as the larger LS and Lighthouse. A recent rumor suggests that the GS sedan could be interrupted. If this is true, I am not sure that people are too angry.
The large spindle grid announces Lexus. It is drawn as an hourglass with boomerang shapes on each side. The L-shaped headlights are equipped with LED lighting, including turn signals and daytime running lights, while the taillamps are also LED. Naturally, the F Sport model is more aggressive, with a bolder bolt on the grille, air intakes for transmission and oil coolers, and aerodynamic adjustments. The large front wings have vents coming out of the warm air under the hood. The large rocker panels slide down the sides, while a carbon fiber spoiler and quadruple exhaust outlets from a diffuser make the car look like the back.
The 2018 Lexus GS cabin is another force, at least in the first row. The front seats are spacious and comfortable, and the materials are of high quality. The rear seat, however, is a bit tight for a medium sized sedan, and we are not fans of the Lexus Remote Touch infotainment system. Safety is also a mixed bag. Lexus offers many safety features, including 10 airbags, adaptive cruise control, front-end collision warnings with automatic emergency braking, automatic dipped headlights and lane departure warnings with active lane control. Unfortunately, the incomplete collision test data mean that the GS has not proved that it is safe in the laboratory.
However, the most recent model, the 2.0-liter turbo introduced for 2017, changed its name from GS 200t to GS 300. And the GS 350, with a V6, gets five more horses. In addition, the Enform security connection and connection functions have been free for 10 years.
Many sources say that the new 2018 Lexus GS will be released at the end of 2017, especially around September. From the Lexus already on sale, we can certainly conclude that they are not cheap. Maybe if you are looking for a cheap daily runner car, Lexus may not be your choice. The wait on the price is a small hike on the current model. The base model is expected to be $ 61,000 or more.
